Today is a day to say thank you – to acknowledge and thank those who have made a difference to our lives. No not the Hollywood speech but a reflection on women in finance who inspire me.
Thank you to Ros Altman, now a member of the House of Lords and Pensions Minister. Before her elevation she had been a champion of older workers and a determined advocate for pensions and pensioners.
Thank you Julia Dreblow who committed her own time, money and exceptional skills to develop the research and market access to Socially Responsible Investing (SRI).
She now has an exciting and informative website www.sriServices.co.uk
Thank you Trish Hanifan, Joint Chair at Society of Later Life Advisers, for creating a standard for the delivery of care funding advice.
Thank you to my local MP Harriet Baldwin, Treasury Minister, taking on the challenge of the Financial Advice Market Review.
Four women who are determined to make a difference.
